Delegates from the Federation of Travel Agents SpainIn order to know the richness and diversity that exist in the state, the delegation of the Spanish Federation of Travel Agents (FEEAV) headed by its president, Rafael Nodal Gallegos, made from 13 to 16 June an inspection visit to the country, having as a primary Veracruz.

During his first day in the state, a delegation representing 16 associations of travel agencies in Spain was received by the governor of Veracruz, Javier Duarte de Ochoa, Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Cinematography, Leticia Parlance Nunez, and Omar German Chang, director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau.

This visit is the result of the efforts that were carried out at the last International Tourism Fair 2011 (FITUR) in Madrid, Parlance said Nunez. “It’s a unique opportunity to showcase the wealth of our state that combines culture, history, gastronomy, folklore and nature, allowing further advance the promotion of Veracruz in Europe, thus becoming the ideal destination for Spanish tourists” .

The state official reiterated the Government of Veracruz, in the future; carry out projects to strengthen ties between countries, economic growth and linkages that would increase tourism to Veracruz.

He also said that Veracruz is in the best position to support this important cultural exchange with the Spanish, so it is very important tour of various tourist attractions that the Spanish group made in the state.

During the visit, representatives of the FEEAV have the opportunity to meet state landmarks, including the historic port of Veracruz, San Juan de Luau, the Museum of Anthropology in Jalapa, Tlacotalpan and the magical town of Coatepec.

Spain is the largest issuer of European tourists to our country, German said Chang. “Therefore, the presence of FEAAV in our state is a solid step in the advocacy and international positioning being carried out by the Government of the State” he said.

The Spanish Federation of Travel Agents is currently formed by 16 associations of travel agents, united to defend their interests and fight for common goals.

FEAAV are members of the Associations of Travel Agencies of Albacete, Alicante (APAAV), Almeria (ASAVAL), Aragon (AAVA), Baleares (AVIBA), Cadiz (AAVC), Córdoba (AAVCOR), Las Palmas (AAVFGL) Murcia (AMAV), Monteverdi (AVIP), Seville (AEVISE), Tenerife (APAV), Madrid (UMAV) and UNAV, Provincial Association of Travel Agencies of Jaen and the Association of Travel Agents and OPC’s from Granada.
